Your Christmas Present From Life…

Christmas is just around the corner and for the past several weeks if not months before, I bet you have been planning what Christmas gifts to give to those you love. You probably have been thinking about what to get for yourself. Perhaps you even wondered what are others going to give to you. Have you ever thought, though, what is your Christmas present from Life? And more so, have you been good this whole year to have this present from Life?

There are several gifts from Life that we get that we tend to take for granted. I want to clarify that the reason why I write “Life” and not “God” is to respect those who may be atheist or who may have other beliefs so you may substitute “Life” to anything you believe in. Going back to today’s topic, some of Life’s gifts are health, love and prosperity.

Health is a gift, a very precious one, however, have you been behaving in order to enjoy this precious gift?! What do I mean with this question? I will explain. I can say from personal experience that health is something you truly enjoy when you understand how health works, when you have an understanding of how your body works, when you make the conscious effort to take care of yourself, when you invest in your health. Enjoying good health is your birth right but in order for you to enjoy this right, you have to take good care of your body. This is what I mean when I ask you if you have been good this whole year. The more you know, the better choices you make in regards to your health. Your health is the foundation of well-being.

Love, awww, the fuel of the soul, body and mind. I feel like without love we are literally dead. This is another thing we tend to take for granted. A healthy family, loving and supporting friends are gifts from Life. Have you been good in order to have this year round? What I mean with being good is have you been cultivating these relationships. Have you made it your goal to let those you love know how much they mean to you. Relationships are like plants, if they are not nurtured, they can die. They are nurtured with the care that you give to them. This is also part of having a balanced life.

Prosperity. This can be a tricky one because when one thinks of prosperity, the one thing that comes to mind is money. Indeed money is part of the prosperity piece. Having success in life is truly a gift but have you been good to deserve this? With this I mean if you have done all you could to allow prosperity in life. Have you made it your goal to educate yourself on topics that you need to learn. Have you made it your goal to love your money. Have you made it your goal to open yourself up to learning about creating different streams of income. Have you made it your goal to give to others. There are so many things that fall under the category of prosperity that I can’t fully cover in this post but that certainly are very important. This is just to give you some food for thought.

Certainly Life is constantly giving us gifts but it is up to us to keep earning those gifts with every action that we take. Life does its part but you too have to do yours if you are to see things going your way. This is all part of that well-being that we all strive for. With this I wish you all Happy Holidays.

On This Day and Everyday…..

On this day of Christmas, but not just Christmas, everyday it should be this way, it is important to live with gratefulness. Gratefulness for having your loved ones with you. Grateful that you have shelter. Grateful that you have a job, if you have a job. Grateful for any good that is in your life. Life is way too short to stress the small stuff.

Be loving all the time. You do this by being kind to others, by smiling at others, by speaking nice words to others, by reminding those you love how much you love them. Don’t ever take for granted how important this is. Love is what truly makes the world go round. Many say money makes the world go round and money is important for certain things like paying rent, bills and food. But without love, you truly have nothing. It’s important to have love for others, love for life, love for yourself, love for what you do, etc. This emotion truly is the most powerful emotion that there is.

The most precious gift you can ever give to others is your sincere love and friendship. I believe that sincere friendship is so healing to the heart, mind and soul. Christmas is not about the physical, material presents nor should love and appreciation be shown only during this time. It is all the time that we must show love towards others. There is nothing like you spending time with people you love and that love you back.

This post may seem like it has nothing to do with well-being but it does. If only we can be more grateful for all we have, if only we can be more loving all the time, if only we can cultivate healthy, loving relationships, I think our happiness level would go up. Lack of love, lack of gratitude, lack of quality relationships are detrimental to our health. I believe that the lack of these things lead to spiritual poverty.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas full of health, happiness and love!

For Your Well-being, Don’t Place Yourself In Situations Where You Will Be Hurt

Many times I have placed myself in situations where I don’t think I meant to hurt myself but I did. I had shed many tears unnecessarily, I have been disappointed by others many times and all this despite all the evidence staring at me in my face that I should get out of the situation in which I got myself in. I think most of us can familiarize with this feeling and situation and I can only tell you from personal experience that for your well-being, don’t place yourself in situations where you will be hurt!

But why do we place ourselves in hurtful situations? How can we avoid this to begin with? First off, as human beings we all have needs. Need to be loved, need for attention, need for connection, need to feel needed, need for that feeling of importance. Because of these basic needs we can find ourselves in situations that had it not been because of these needs, we would not have placed ourselves in those situations to begin with. This is the reason why it is so important to understand yourself, oh how powerful it is to understand yourself, and what your needs are. This simple understanding can uncover a lot of what we have in our subconscious and can reveal to us what holds us back from the life we truly long. So start by understanding what your needs and wants are.

Love yourself! Truly, when you love yourself, you won’t allow anyone to hurt you or treat you any less than you deserve. You won’t even settle for situations that you don’t deserve, i.e. get involved with someone who is unavailable, among other stuff. When you love yourself, you understand your worth as a person or woman/man and so you will only accept situations or people that are worthy of you.

When you find yourself already in a situation where you can see that you are heading towards the “hurt” road, stop for a second. Ask yourself why you are driving down that road. If you need outside feedback, ask someone you love and trust what they think about the situation. You will be surprised how much you can open your eyes with some outside perspective about the situation. Truly dig inside you to understand what leads you to drive down this hurtful road.

Ask yourself, “if you can be in any situation or have anything in life, what would it be?” For example, if what you are looking for is true love and all you keep attracting are unavailable men or women, really ask yourself what do you want. Do you really want to be in a situation where you know you won’t be heading where you want to go? If you are trying to go to California, I’m pretty sure you won’t catch a plane going to Montana, would you? So ask yourself why you are doing this same exact thing in other situations in your life. This will help you think more about where you want to be and will help get your antennas working properly to really be on the look out for what you truly want and deserve.

This is just some of the many things that you can do in order to understand yourself more, get more of what you want in life and get what you truly deserve. You DESERVE more out of life. You don’t have to be content with situations that are somewhat nice or just plain not healthy.
