Work With What You Have

There are times when we might feel like we need more in order to have more or that we need more in order to succeed or that we need more in order to have enough. There were many times when I felt this way and still did until recently and I learned that in life we just have to work with what we have.

When you work with what you have, you will realize that you have enough, if not, plenty. You will realize that you are enough just the way you are. When you work with what you have, you start to take advantage of all “the fruits that are reachable” as I like to say to refer to whatever resources you have that are available to you. You use your gifts and skills and focus on that rather than on your shortcomings. You focus on what works for you and magnetize that as opposed to focusing on what doesn’t work.

When you work with what you have, you will find yourself complaining less because you are able to see the abundance that you possess. You will notice more of the talents that you possess that you probably didn’t even know that you have. You will learn to be more observant of yourself.

If you want to start living to the fullest, one way is to start working with what you have. It’s what you have at the moment that counts so use it to your advantage and watch things multiply. When you learn to utilize what you have because you can see the value in what you have, this is how things can then start to multiply.

What does this have to do with wellbeing? It has all to do with wellbeing because part of wellbeing is being grateful for what you have and you utilize and appreciate what you have. Part of wellbeing is how you feel about yourself and about all that you already have. If you don’t feel like you have much to offer, if you feel like you are not enough, you will experience a void that robs your happiness. People who work with what they have do so because they see the value in what they have. When you see the value in things, you can then treat it like the precious jewel that it is. Every one of us have value and it’s important to see it and work with it. So what are you waiting for?! Starting seeing that value and work with what you have!

How to Start Seeing and Believing in Your Inner Reality

This can be a tough one when the outer reality just doesn’t match how we believe our life is supposed to be. This is because there are certain things that we don’t ask for. We don’t ask to be born in a certain place that perhaps doesn’t resonate with us and the list can go on and on of whatever it is you feel or think you didn’t ask to have or be.

The truth is that you are not condemned to be your genes, your family, your community or whatever it is that you are at the moment. This is because what matters most is how you feel and think you and your life are supposed to be.

So how can you start believing in your inner reality? First, think about what that inner reality looks like. Think about how does it feel like. If it feels right, if it feels really good, go with that feeling. Sit with that feeling for a bit until it feels familiar to you. The purpose of you doing this is that you want to open yourself up to receive guidance as to what the next step should be. Know that everyone is different so the way you may receive your own guidance may be different.

Perhaps you feel compelled to do something and you don’t understand why. That may be your inner being guiding you toward the very thing that is your reality. Before you start thinking that this has nothing to do with believing in your inner reality, I would like to explain something. One very important ingredient to life, even if you don’t believe me at the moment is faith. Faith that you feel the way you do for a reason. If you have a dream inside you, if you have a desire to do something, you have to have faith, which is the belief, that it is placed inside of you for a reason and that the reason is that it is yours already.

I’m sorry to say but if you have no faith whatsoever, you can’t possibly be in a state to receive guidance as to what your next step should be. You can’t because your lack of belief blocks you from knowing what you need to do to get to where you want to get. It’s important to sit with how it feels to live your inner reality because it is there where you will receive inspired action. I look back at my life and it is amazing how it is because I have sat with the emotions of what my inner reality looks like that brought upon a series of events that led me to the very things that I wanted.

So it all starts with faith. Faith that the things that you want are already yours despite what anyone else says and despite how reality looks like. Faith that your life is supposed to be how you envision it to be. Trust me that I understand how frustrating it can be when your reality isn’t the way you want it to be. Trust me that I know that it can be challenging to keep believing when you don’t see what you want coming. But the key is faith and keep sitting with how that inner reality feels so that you can start receiving guidance. It is when you start receiving guidance that slowly but surely you will start seeing reasons to believe in your inner reality.

I’m also going to give this suggestion. Think about all the things that you already manifested in your life. This will help you see that you have the capacity to have the things you want and will help you believe in the things that you want. Start thinking about even the “smallest” things that you were able to have that you wanted. Look for evidence that what you have always wanted is within reach.

To end this post, I would like to encourage you once again to look for evidence that what you have always wanted is within reach. Start having faith and sit with the feelings of that inner reality so that you can start receiving guidance as to what you need to do in order to get yourself closer to living that inner reality.

It’s Only a Matter of Time…

It’s so easy to be impatient when you really want something. Trust me, I know, those close to me know that I can sometimes be so impatient about certain things. However, when we don’t seem to have that which we want so bad, we have to remind ourselves that it’s only a matter of time.

How can you get into that state of reminding yourself that it’s only a matter of time when what you want you want it now? Well, look at where you are now and where you were before. I’m pretty sure that although things pretty much may “look” the same, if you look closely, you have had changes along the way that perhaps were not so noticeable for you. This should tell you that life isn’t always the same and that things are continuously changing and will continue changing. Allow this to give you a sense of hope that things will get better with time. Another way to remind yourself that it’s only a matter of time for you to get what you want is to look for signs from the Universe that you are getting closer to the things you want. This can be that perhaps you met someone who has what you want or is where you want to be. It could be that the last person you dated has most of the qualities that you are looking for in a mate. It could be that you are surrounded by the environment that you desire to be a part of. Life is always giving you signs that what you want will happen and reminding you that it’s only a matter of time.

What does this phrase do to your well-being and how relevant it is to your everyday life? This one phrase, if you allow it, can transform your negative thinking and feeling to one of hope and faith. The feelings of hope and faith shift the way you think which will affect the way you behave. When you are in a state of desperateness, anger, sadness or hopelessness, these feelings don’t allow you to make the right choices which then affects your well-being in negative ways. You choose the wrong person because you think that someone is better than no one or because you don’t think you will find your One. You jump into a decision because you can’t wait for the right thing to arrive. You break relationships that may be beneficial to you because you can’t seem to see things from a positive light and on and on the list goes.

Anytime you feel like you’re about to lose hope because that thing that you want hasn’t arrived yet, remember, it’s only a matter of time. That love that you are waiting for still you don’t see any signs of him/her coming, it’s only a matter of time. That weight that you are trying to lose doesn’t seem to want to come off of you, it’s only a matter of time. No matter what….it’s only a matter of time.

Peace…An Important Element to Your Well-being

There are many things that contribute to our well-being and one of them that I would like to discuss in this post is peace.

Why is peace such an important element to one’s well-being? Because without peace you don’t have clarity. Without clarity, you can’t make wise choices. Without wise choices, you pay a very high price that spills over every other area of your life. Peace is what keeps you centered. Peace is what creates harmony within you and that harmony that you feel is what helps keep you centered.

Think about this for a moment, when you don’t feel peace whether that be outer peace or inner peace, you feel as if you lose your inner balance. Things irritate you easily. You can’t seem to make the right choices. You feel scattered, perhaps even spacey depending on how you are emotionally and mentally. It is these feelings of being scattered or spacey that clouds you from taking appropriate and positive actions. On the other hand, when you feel peace, you get centered. There is an inner balance within you that even when there seems to be chaos around you, you seem to still get it together. Peace is one of the elements that helps with this.

If peace is that important then how can one reach this level of peace? You reach this level of peace by coming into terms with things and people. What I mean with what I just wrote is that you reach a level of acceptance of things not because you necessarily agree with what is going on but because things are the way they are at the moment and because resistance can only make things worse. When we don’t come to terms with how things are, we become angry, bitter or even sad. These emotions cloud us from enjoying the present moment. There are times that you even have to accept certain relationships that you have with others. I don’t believe we are all meant to mesh with everyone and that’s ok. There are certain relationships that just are what they are and so for your well-being, it is best to accept and let go.

My intention is not to get in any shape or form religious with what I’m about to write but I believe that believing in something higher than you, whatever that may be, helps a lot. Faith indeed moves mountains and I think that without faith and the belief in something higher, we lose hope and losing hope puts you in a negative state which can attract more negative things.

Different things work for different people because we are all unique. For this reason what can help you feel peace may be different from what I have discussed on this post, depending on the situation you may be in and the kind of person you are, so find what works for you when it comes to you having peace. This is another building block to your well-being.

“Uplift Yourself”

Today as I’m sipping on my favorite brand of tea “Yogi tea”, I read the message that comes with the tea and it reads “Uplift others and uplift yourself”. The part that caught my attention was the “uplift yourself”. With so much that is going on in my life, it can be quite a challenge to uplift myself as I am sure that it is the same for others as well and so I thought of this importance after I read this.

There will be times in your life where others may not necessarily be there to uplift you and this is why it is very necessary to learn to uplift yourself. In the same way that you would encourage others, you need that same encouragement from yourself. “But how can I uplift myself when I have so much going on?” you may ask and what I can share is what I do on a daily basis to uplift myself.

I am aware that everyone’s belief may be different and I respect everyone’s belief and outlook in life so you can take the following advise in a way that suits you. I believe that prayer is one of the greatest ways to uplift yourself. There is something that I can not explain but that truly helps when you need encouragement.

Have faith or the belief that things will change and be better. That belief or faith helps you feel and think differently. It helps change your outlook on the situation. Without the belief or faith that things will be better, you will feel a heavy burden in you that just feels as if it’s dragging you down. This places weight on you that reflects everywhere you go.

Don’t forget to do things that make you happy. For everyone this will be different. For some it is reading, for others it is yoga, or perhaps going for a walk. It is crucial for you to do something that cheers you up because this helps you to relax. It is in a relaxed state that we can accomplish more and endure more.

Remember that you are loved. I think it is easy when one is going through so much or feeling sad or overwhelmed to think that they are lonely. Thinking in this manner just creates negative emotions within you that just doesn’t help. Remember that there are those who love you, who are influenced by you and who also depend on you. Knowing this will help you gain some strength since love is an empowering feeling.

These are just some of the many things that you can do to uplift yourself whenever you need encouragement. We sometimes tend to be so good at being there for others that we forget that we also need to be there for ourselves. This is part of taking care of yourself in order to ensure your well-being.
