Laziness…The Killer of a Great Life…

We have a criminal in town and it doesn’t discriminate and it can attack anyone at any moment in life. Yes, it is a criminal because it kills your chances to a great life, it kills your dreams and steals your motivation in life. This criminal doesn’t care if you are a male or female, what your ethnicity is nor how old you are. Yes, I dare to say it, that criminal is called laziness!

“Stop being so dramatic Aura!” you’re probably saying to yourself. No, this is not being dramatic because laziness is a big criminal if you allow it to creep into your life. There are many who would love a great life but yet allow themselves to be lazy to do what it takes to have that life they want.

Laziness can attack at any moment in time. Many times we are not so aware of it, other times we are. One sure way you can know whether or not laziness is attacking you is that you start to make excuses as to why you can’t do this nor have that. When I write “excuses”, I’m not referring to excuses that are legitimate like when one has real problems going on in their life. I think you know very well the kind of excuses I mean because deep down inside you know that those excuses are just a way of you convincing yourself that you can’t do this or have that.

Another way to know when laziness is attacking you is by you knowing that you have to get something done yet you don’t feel like doing it. When you don’t feel like doing something, you will be tempted to come up with excuses to justify why you can’t do something. One thing to keep in mind is that anything that you want to accomplish in life you won’t always feel like doing but you do it anyway because you know you have the bigger picture in mind.

If you say you want something but yet you are not doing anything to get what you want, yup, that’s laziness attacking you, trying to kill your dreams. Wanting something is not enough for you to have what you want. You have to take action. You have to be doing something every single day in order to get closer to whatever it is that you want. That is the hardest part. Wanting is easy, the secret is in the doing and when you start viewing the doing part as something hard or impossible, you are allowing laziness to take over by once again, justifying why you can’t do something.

My hope with this post is to make you aware of ways in which you may be allowing laziness to kill your chance of having the life that you want. If you start paying attention to these signs that I just wrote, you will know that laziness is trying to take over and then be able to stop this from creeping into your life.

It’s Just a Preview….

In today’s post, I would like to remind you of the importance of being in a state of expectation no matter what it is that you want in life and how crucial this is for your overall well-being. It is crucial for your overall well-being and life to be in a state of expectation because that sense of hopelessness, that feeling of not having much to look forward to can slowly kill your soul to the point of slowly feeling down mentally, emotionally and physically. This is why it is important that no matter what it is that you want out of life, whether it is weight loss, a better job, a soulmate, whatever it is that you are looking for and want and don’t have yet, remember that whatever didn’t work out, it is just a preview.

There are times that things happen in life that seem like just the thing that we need but yet, something happens and it doesn’t work out. When something seemed too close to what you want but doesn’t work out, you have to remember that it is just a preview of what is coming for you soon. That person that you were dating that for whatever reason things did not work out, he/she is just a preview of the person that is actually for you and it is coming your way. That job interview that you just went to for that dream job of yours, it seemed like everything was going right and then you find out that you were not chosen for the position-no worries, that’s just a preview that the right job is on its way. You are working out and have lost so much weight and just when you are too close to getting that body that you want you plateau, no worries, that is just a preview to that body that you have been dreaming for.

No matter what it is that you want, you have to remember that life has a way of providing you with previews so prepare yourself for what is yet to come. Instead of being discouraged because you don’t yet have what you want- because that person you like things didn’t work out, because you seem to hit a plateau in your weight loss journey, whatever it is that hasn’t worked out- you have to remember that what happened before is just a preview for what is coming up next for you in your life. I truly believe that the things we go through can prepare us for what is really for us, whatever that is. It is crucial that you remember this because realizing that it is just a preview helps you remain in a state of expectation and it is this state of expectation that draws the things you want into your life.

It is important to always be in a healthy state mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically and being in a state of expectancy for the things that you want is crucial in order for you to attract positive things to you. No matter what you want and don’t have yet or has not worked out, remember that what happened is just a preview.
